Most common asked questions for new professionals

How do I get started? You must have a real estate license issued from the State of Missouri or you may be considered for our on-line tuition reimbursement. After completing your licensing, you will sign a personal contract committing to your 1 on 1 individual training program with our Broker. We believe that your success will stem from your confidence - confidence comes from extensive training in all areas, drive, and your own personal dedication to your goals.   

Do I have the qualifications? The real estate business is different in the fact that your really self-employed. With that in mind, you must be independent, focused, and have the ability to create business. You are the product your selling, not the Broker,company,or the houses, but you. You must be able to develop & maintain your business through your personal relationships.

What are the start up costs? First of all-keep it simple and keep within your budget; which are one of the things that will be discussed through your interview process. If you qualified for our reimbursement program; the other costs incurred would be your test cost & the initial fees of joining the local board.

How do I get paid? That are many aspects of the real estate business so there are numerous ways to earn income but mostly your pay will be a direct result of your efforts through "closed" transactions. It is a commission based business. These details will be discussed extensively in your interviewing process. 

Can I work part-time? We understand individual circumstances & will may offer to structure "partnerships" in some cases. This would be further discussed at your interview.

How do I choose a real estate office? Big franchise or individual office? We are  a small Brokerage looking for inspired motivated persons with their own unique experiences & talents. At J.L. Nolan Real Estate, everyone has a voice & is encouraged to share their ideas & be a part of the "out of the box" philosophy of our company. 99% of our agents are from larger Brokerages feeling that it wasn't the right fit for them. Then again we may not be the right fit for everyone as well. We keep it simple. The business & market itself is the challenge we face. Consideration of others, our professionalism, advancing our expertise are always at the forefront & is something we're committed too. Its up to you to take advantage of the pportunities of our extensive-training, not only one on one with our Broker, our team of professionals & their unique experiences but also other areas that are made available within our industry.
